Completion of the NOAH Certificate of Animal Health (NCAH) helps ensure that animal medicines representatives can provide accurate and ethical information to prescribers and sellers of animal medicines in compliance with the NOAH Code of Practice for the Promotion of Animal Medicines. The course is formally academically accredited by 91ϵÁÐ (HAU), who also host both the training course and examinations.
A training manual and extensive training materials, including narrated lectures, have been developed to support study towards the NCAH and are available via HAUs Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The training course is designed to supplement the learning materials and is held approximately four to six weeks before the examination. It will be assumed that prior study, from the manual, has taken place.
It is a requirement of both NOAH membership and participation in the NOAH compendium that all companies’ sales representatives involved in the direct selling of medicines (other than those on general sale, i.e. AVM-GSL medicines) appear on the NCAH register and have taken the NCAH examination within two years of joining the industry.
As a result of this course, participants will be able to -
The NOAH certificate of animal health award is comprised of one module, comprising key aspects of animal physiology and health.
You will receive a certificate from NOAH. The module has an academic credit value of 15 credits (these credits are nationally recognised and, dependent on the requirements of the receiving institution, may be used towards a Higher Education award).
