    Disability Support at University

    Registering with Learner Support

We know that going to university is a major step and we are keen to support you if you have a disability (including dyslexia, DCD-dyspraxia, autism, mental health condition, physical disability, long term medical condition or hearing/visual impairment) and/or you have previously received support arrangements, such as extra time in exams.

Please complete the online Learner Support Registration Form as soon as possible and let us know if you:

    • Have any support needs.
    • Have previously received additional exam arrangements and wish for these to be considered at university.  As previous support such as exam arrangements do not transfer over from school/college, please let us know if you have any adjustment considerations.

    or

    • If you would like to request a free screening test to explore whether you have an SpLD, such as dyslexia or ADHD (available post enrolment).

We ask you to share your information as soon as possible, so we can provide further guidance regarding support and as it does take time for applicable funding to be approved by awarding bodies. You may have already been in contact with Learner Support but completion of this form allows us to gather the most recent information and enables us to collect disclosure information.

You do not need to complete this form if none of the above applies to you.

These allowances are intended to assist UK students with disabilities, such as an SpLD, long term health condition or mental health condition who are studying in Higher Education. This allowance is not income dependent.
